Formed in 1994, Gart Properties reflects three generations of talent and background beginning with Nathan Gart who started a fishing and outdoor gear shop in 1928.

Gart Properties is a privately held real estate investment, development and management company based in Denver, Colorado.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Formed in 1994, Gart Properties reflects three generations of talent and background beginning with Nathan Gart who started a fishing and outdoor gear shop in 1928.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Ken Gart, Tom Gart, John Gart and Mark Sidell are all partners, principals and investors in Gart Properties. Each member of the team is an active and involved philanthropist believing that a strong community relies on the leadership and generosity of its business community. The company’s primary focus is the enhancement of value through repositioning of underperforming real estate assets.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Gart Properties owns and/or manages over 20 properties around Colorado. Gart Properties and Kornfeld Companies have recently entered into an agreement to merge Kornfeld Companies, LLP into Gart Properties, LLC, effective on June 1, 2011.

From Downtown Denver- Take Speer south until it turns into 1st Ave. Once in the heart of Cherry Creek, turn left onto Milwaukee St. Gart Properties is located on the left-hand side (west side) of the street between 2nd and 3rd Ave.
From I-25 heading south- You may choose to follow the directions from Downtown or you may choose to exit I-25 at the 6th Ave. exit. Turn left onto 6th Ave. (heading east). Turn right onto Milwaukee St. Gart Properties is located on the right-hand side of the street between 3rd and 2nd Ave.
From I-25 heading north- Take the Colorado Blvd. exit. Turn right onto Colorado Blvd. Take a left onto 1st Ave. Once in the heart of Cherry Creek, turn right onto Milwaukee St. Gart Properties is located on the left-hand side of the street between 2nd and 3rd Ave.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Today, Ken Gart, Tom Gart, John Gart and Mark Sidell are all partners, principals and investors in Gart Properties. While the Gart family is the backbone of the business, Gart Properties also relies on outstanding and experienced individuals in key positions including Mark Sidell as President, Susan Cantwell - Director of Leasing, Steve Chavez - Vice President of Property Management, Paulajane Moffitt - Property Manager, Derek Henry - Broker Associate, Matt Trasen - Project Manager, Christine Warren – Lease Administrator, Josh Brgoch – Chief Financial Officer and Nick Martin – Controller.
