How long have you been in business?
Highline Academy's charter application was approved by the Denver Public School Board in 2003. We opened our doors in August of 2004.
What is your primary product or service?
Highline Academy is a K-8, tuition-free, Denver Public Schools Charter School with a custom liberal arts curriculum focused on inclusive excellence and Core Knowledge. Highline Academy was founded in 2003 by a committee of parents looking for educational alternatives that would help prepare their children for secondary school and the world beyond, Highline Academy has become one of the longest-running charter schools in the Denver area. In the 2012/2013 academic year, the school’s students outperformed the District and State in math, reading, writing, and science in 39 of 40 categories. Highline, located in southeast Denver at 2170 S Dahlia Street Denver CO 80222, has served over 1,000 students, many of whom have moved on to high-performing high schools and colleges.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Highline Academy uses the REACH (Responsibility, Empowerment, Aspiration, Citizenship, Honesty) program to teach academic, personal, and civic excellence to its students. Highline has small classes, dedicated teachers, supportive parent and guardian community and students from around the world. How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Highline, located in southeast Denver at 2170 S Dahlia Street Denver CO 80222. A second campus is scheduled to open in Green Valley Ranch in the fall of 2014.
